Rob Dyrek's Wild Grinders, also known simply as Wild Grinders, is an american animated comedy TV series that became a minor internet meme in 2017. All the times Wild Grinders was used, it was accompained with The Nutshack.

History[]

Airing of Wild Grinders and reception[]

The first season of Wild Grinders started airing on Nickelodeon's sister channel, Nicktoons, in April 27, 2012 and ended on October 18, 2013. A second season started airing on December 23, 2013 and ended on February 12, 2015. Both seasons have 26 episodes each one.

Wild Grinders received overwhelmingly negative reviews. Common Sense Media gave the series 2 of out 5 stars and said "If your youngsters are easily influenced by what they see and hear on TV, then this might be one to pass over." It has also been accused of having too many similarities with Rocket Power, another Nickelodeon TV series that aired from 1999 to 2004. Viewers even teased Wild Grinders as "successor" of The Nutshack, a Filipino-American adult animated TV series that aired from 2007 to 2011 on MyxTV, which was also underrated. Some viewers even claimed that the animators that worked on The Nutshack were also working on Wild Grinders. It received a 1.8 out of 10 by IMDb, which is considered to be Nickelodeon's first lowest-rated TV show.

On August 14th, 2016, user Aedan Senpai uploaded a video titled "THE WILD GRINDERS AND NUTSHACK RANT", where he discusses the similatites between The Nutshack and Wild Grinders, in a satirical manner.

On October 1st, almost two months after Aedan Senpai's video, user Mohammad M uploaded a video titled "Its the nutshack but with wild grinders", where nearly all the characters in The Nutshack's opening were replaced by characters from Wild Grinders. The video has received over 22,000 views and 500 likes as of December 12th.

A month later on November 7th, YouTuber chopping boss uploaded a video titled "Wild Grinders anime op", which creates a AMV using footage from Wild Grinders and "Unravel" from Tokyo Ghoul. The video has received 3,500 views and 130 likes as of December 12, 2016.

As of today, Wild Grinders could be considered a dead meme. This makes it one of the meme that became dead the earliest.
